Product Overview
The Caustic Scrubber for H₂S Removal is a chemical absorption system designed to remove hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) from industrial gas streams using alkaline solutions such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or potassium hydroxide (KOH).
The system is widely used in natural gas processing, refinery gas treatment, biogas purification, and industrial exhaust gas desulfurization applications.
Technology
The scrubber operates through counter-current contact between H₂S-containing gas and circulating caustic solution inside a packed absorption tower.
Hydrogen sulfide chemically reacts with the alkaline solution to form soluble sulfide compounds, effectively reducing H₂S concentration and protecting downstream equipment from corrosion and contamination.
Process Flow
Gas Pretreatment → Caustic Absorption Tower → Mist Elimination → Purified Gas Output → Spent Caustic Treatment
